Your-Nova-Scotia-Travel-Tips, Issue #017 - The BEST Nova Scotia Travel Tips
August 23, 2018
Issue #017, August 23, 2018

hi folks,

Welcome to the August issue of Your Nova Scotia Travel tips.

I recently spent some time on the Lighthouse Trail on the South Shore in Nova Scotia. This area stretches from Peggy's Cove then southwest to Cape Sable Island.

I recorded several videos and created a Lighthouse Trail video playlist on my Facebook page.

Lighthouse Trail videos

If you are planning to visit the Lighthouse Trail or are looking for some ideas of what to do on your Nova Scotia vacation check these out:

Sailing on the Bluenose II
A visit to Blue Rocks
Exploring the Ovens Sea Caves
Sailing on the Eastern Star
A visit to Hirtle's beach
The Chester Marina

I received great feedback from my FB followers so I wanted to share with you as well.

Festivals & Events

There is still lots going on in Nova Scotia. The festivals and events for Cape Breton and Halifax are listed on my website. Have a look and see what appeals to you. I am trying to organize some time at Celtic Colours in October. My stories from a few years ago might entice you there as well.

Don't forget that the Ceilidh Trail on Cape Breton's west coast has square dances and ceilidhs almost every night of the week. This area cannot sit still and is self-described as Canada's Musical Coast. Very appropriate name, I believe! Check out the listing at the top of my Cape Breton events page.

I also want to mention that Nocturne Art at Night in Halifax has been included in the top 40 Arts & Culture Festivals in North America. Sounds like a unique event. I have never been but a story from one of my subscribers with some pictures for my website would be very welcome!

More events this fall that look interesting:

Atlantic Film Festival, Halifax, Sep 13-23
Gran Fondo Baie Sainte-Marie, Baie Sainte-Marie, Sep 22-23
Hike the Highlands, Cape Breton, Sep 14-23
Halifax Pop Explosion, Halifax, Oct 17-20
Devour! The Food Film Fest, Wolfville, Oct 24-28

Trip Advisor & Halifax

Trip Advisor says that Halifax is one of Canada's top destinations. Well, I didn't need Trip Advisor to tell me this!! LOL!

Seriously, Trip Advisor is a great tool when planning a trip. I use it all the time and try to write reviews when I can.

Use this Trip Advisor link to make your accommodations booking. I earn a small commission with each reservation made via my site and this helps me pay my expenses.

I would really appreciate it!! Cheers!!
