Your-Nova-Scotia-Travel-Tips, Issue #018 - The BEST Nova Scotia Travel Tips
September 20, 2018
Issue #018, September 20, 2018

hi folks,

Welcome to the September issue of Your Nova Scotia Travel tips.

The fall is a wonderful time to spend some vacation days in Nova Scotia. The weather is cooler, there are less folks on the roads and there are still lots of activities to enjoy.

Whale watching tours

Many whale watching tours continue until mid-October and some even to the end of October. The whales stay in our waters until the fall so this is something to keep in mind if you plan to visit Nova Scotia.

Check my whalewatching page for a list of tours. Call the tour operator in advance to ensure they are still touring and to make your reservations.

There are literally hundreds of hiking trails in Nova Scotia. The fall is probably the best time of the year for hiking. Cooler temperatures, no mosquitos and gorgeous fall colours. I have added many of my favourite trails to Your Nova Scotia Holiday. Check them out and see if there is anything near you.

Hike Nova Scotia offers a fantastic Fall Guided Hike series. These are offered throughout the province and give an opportunity for you to explore areas with knowledgeable locals.

Fall Festivals

There are still plenty of fall festivals. Check out the list and take your pick.

Halifax Oyster Festival, Halifax, Sep 28-29
Mahone Bay Scarecrow Festival, Mahone Bay, Sep 28-30
Celtic Colours International Music Festival, Cape Breton, Oct 5-13

Trip Advisor & Halifax

Trip Advisor says that Halifax is one of Canada's top destinations. Well, I didn't need Trip Advisor to tell me this!! LOL!

Seriously, Trip Advisor is a great tool when planning a trip. I use it all the time and try to write reviews when I can.

Use this Trip Advisor link to make your accommodations booking. I earn a small commission with each reservation made via my site and this helps me pay my expenses.

I would really appreciate it!! Cheers!!
